It's quite a simple project, so it doesn't require much explanation.  I used clay to illustrate the above phrase.  The clay is in several states going from a wet block of clay, to dried letters, to shattered, then soaking in a bucket of water, and finally the clay is all joined back together into a wet blob for the final frame.
